'Empowering students with the skills and confidence they need to succeed since 2004'

Lazar Tuition is the brainchild of 18 years teaching.

From a young age Amanda Lazar has had a zest for reading and absorbing knowledge particularly in the areas of Personal Development, Health and Physical Education and the English language.

Following her passion, Amanda studied at some of the leading universities in Australia to attain qualifications in Education and holds B.Ed (HMHE), Sydney University, Grad Cert Secondary Education, CSU, Masters in Education, Sydney University.

Amanda has worked with some of Sydney’s leading independent schools and has excelled in finding and creating new ways for students from primary right up to HSC to succeed, based on their different strengths and unique skills.

As mother first, then a teacher, she understands just how important a patient and caring approach is when students are faced with learning challenges. She therefore works tirelessly with her students to help find their secret to success. One of the great joys for Amanda in teaching is supporting students to learn in a way they feel empowered and enjoy the learning process.

Throughout her career, Amanda has been a Head Teacher of English and had extensive experience in fine-tuning learning for students, from a range of backgrounds. Amanda also ran the Years 11 and 12 HSC programs at various schools, including in English Extension 1 and 2 and helped develop specific, targeted learning opportunities for HSC students to maximise their results across the syllabus.

As an advocate for Literacy and Writing, Amanda played an integral role in the Northern Sydney area literacy program which focused on students writing short, specific texts so that they may have ‘quick wins' allowing them to see their progress and stay motivated through positive reinforcement.

Amanda also ran the Years 11 and 12 HSC programs at various schools, including in English Extension 1 and 2 and helped develop specific, targeted learning opportunities for HSC students to maximise their results across the syllabus.

As a teacher with extensive primary, high school and HSC experience, Amanda is passionate about motivating students to achieve their best results no matter where they’re at.
